1. Consult
We visit your Ashburn home and look at the bathroom with you: what works, what does not, how many people use it and when. We note the plumbing locations, the fan and where it vents, the condition of the floor and anything that hints at past leaks.
Your part: come with a short list of the three things that bother you most, a rough budget range, and photos of bathrooms you like. If your community has an HOA, find your association's contact; we will tell you whether anything in the plan is worth running past them.
2. Design
We develop the layout, the fixture plan and the material direction, and turn it into a written scope. This is where decisions like moving the shower or adding a second sink get made, because they drive plumbing, electrical and permits.
Your part: review the scope line by line. Ask what is included and what is not. If anything is an allowance rather than a specific product, make sure you know the amount.
3. Select
Tile, vanity, countertop, faucets, toilet, glass and lighting are finalized before demolition. Bathroom Brigade installs products from brands such as Kohler, American Standard, Moen, Daltile and Schluter.
Your part: make the selections on time. Late changes are the most common cause of a bathroom sitting torn out longer than planned.
4. Build
Demolition, rough-in plumbing and electrical, waterproofing, tile, fixtures and finish work. Where the scope needs Loudoun County permits, rough-in inspections happen before walls are closed and final inspections at the end.
Your part: clear the bathroom and the path to it, keep kids and pets out of the work area, and tell us right away if access to another bathroom becomes a problem.
5. Complete
We walk the finished bathroom with you, go over how to care for the materials, address any closeout items and turn over the space.
Your part: test everything. Run the shower, the fan, every light and both sinks. Note anything that needs attention during the walkthrough.
